Heatech has five service technicians based in Calgary. Their primary function is startup, commissioning and warranty service of the products Heatech sells. The nature of Heatech's business is such that it would be virtually impossible to make sales without having the service backup.
Each of these technicians has an extensive background in burners, controls and boiler service.
Heatech also sells general boiler service to users of equipment similar to that which they sell. In addition, their service technicians assemble fuel trains, control panels and do pipe fitting and instrumentation on packages that Heatech assembles in their shop. We have found that involving the technician in assembly in the shop is of tremendous benefit in reducing problems on startup when the equipment is shipped to the field.
Heatech tries to involve the technicians as early as possible on the project and get their input at the initial stage.

We maintain an inventory of mobile steam plants ready for quick delivery. These units are ideally suited for emergency steam supply, tank cleaning, and remote steam source, as well as for additional steam capacity on a short-term basis, such as shutdowns. These packages are available in sizes from 30 HP to over 100,000 PPH in low and high pressure.
In addition we have available glycol heating packages for space heating, and steam to liquid heat exchangers for other process needs.
If we do not have the package you need in inventory, we will custom build the unit to your specifications.
Through involvement in the design of our own controls packages, and the maintenance of other manufacturers packages, we are well versed in the design, manufacture, and installation and commissioning of new control systems.

The Service Department is well experienced in commissioning our projects, as well as those provided by other manufacturers. We provide service on an international level and have done numerous overseas startups, from Chile to Northern Russia. Our technicians are well versed in the tuning and servicing of all boiler/burner manufacturers and can provide site training for operating and maintenance personnel.
We provide many of our customers with an annual maintenance program. This helps to reduce costly equipment downtime, as well as extending the service life of the capital equipment. We look after scheduling the site trips around the customer's shutdowns, and provide a detailed report of all our findings along with recommendations for repairs or upgrades that may be required. Annual service will be a requirement of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment on fired equipment with an input of 10 MMBTU or over when the revised standards take effect
Our experience with fired equipment and our OEM status with most burner vendors allows us to provide economic burner upgrade packages complete with gas trains. We can provide new packages to meet emission standards or upgrade existing packages with efficiency and safety.
If improving your overall plant thermal efficiency and reducing fuel costs are important, the Service Department can size and select an economizer for your application. Traditionally, economizers have been used for preheating boiler feedwater, but are now finding service as building air preheaters, combustion air preheaters and plant water preheaters. Any heat that can be recovered, rather than being wasted, results in lower net fuel costs as well as reducing total net emissions.
We own our own fabrication shop where we routinely repair and refurbish smaller boilers or heaters. If the unit is too large to be economically transported, we have the capability of performing the work on your site, reducing overall costs and downtime.
As we are OEM to most equipment suppliers, we are able to source and delivery parts for all makes and models of boilers, burners, controls or water treatment equipment in use today. We stock a large range of Fireye and Honeywell controls ready for immediate shipment.
Heatech has a 11,500 ft. office and shop in Calgary where we assemble boiler and heater packages, assemble control panels and fuel trains, store parts, and perform light fabrication such as; ducting, stacks, skids, pipe spools and pressure vessels.
We have a Quality Assurance program, audited and approved by ABSA (Alberta Boilers Safety Association). Their Q.A. manual is current through 2006 and registered with ABSA. Under this Q.A. manual Heatech manufactures pipe spools to ANSI B31.1 and ANSI B31.3, Section I, IV, and VIII vessels. We can also manufacture CSA B51 minature vessels and are authorized to repair ASME Section I, IV, and VIII boilers and heaters, and B31.1 or B31.3 piping in our shops or in the field
